Chita was acquired at 18 months of age as our foundation brood bitch. She had the sweetest disposition and a natual drive to please. Although she never hunted nor ran in trials, she was an outstanding animal. Her breedings produced some of the most desireable hunting and trial companions we've ever seen. Many of her offspring ended up in breeding programs of other kennels. Her breeding with NFC NAFC Candlewoods Super Tanker produced: FC AFC Olgas Retreat RD Early Black Sunnyview's War Eagle JH GMHRC Rodey's Momma Have Mercy MH Tanks Trouble Maker *** (see article on Mercy in hunt test page) She is surely missed, but she live's on in her daughter - Rodey's Excalibur. Sunnyview's Vision of Merlin 05/28/89 - 11/23/02	What can be said about Merlin. He was an absolutely unbelievable dog. He was one of those dogs that tested you daily, yet performed above his training and constantly made you want to come back for more. His ability, with a little help from me, helped my development as a trainer and enabled me to get a taste of professional training. He ran a few trials early in life, but mostly he was a constant companion and hunting partner. If we could ever clone an animal, he would be the one. His legacy lives on in many offspring, including our own Daisy and Tequila.
